WOMBAT PRINT DETAILS

This little inquisitive wombat joey is out of the the pouch and exploring  the world! It’s hard not to fall in love with the hint of a smile and the sweet, soft eyes on the Wombat print.  The wombat is an iconic marsupial of Australia that is loved for it’s shy nature and cute appearance but don’t be fooled – with its tough backbone and sturdy legs it is known as the ‘bulldozer of the bush’!  Drawn with pencil, the detailed and textured wombat print artwork is guaranteed to make its owner swoon.

“The wombat is actually my favourite Australian animals so I just loved drawing this one.  They are incredibly unusual and hard to see in the wild but are so darn cute!  I have been fortunate enough to encounter a number of wombats on bush walks and drives through the country.  My daughter also did a baby wombat encounter last summer which was just gorgeous to be a part of.   This little wombat allowed me to continue my love affair with drawing fur after I finished the Koala artwork.”

The artist, Rebecca Garfield, hand signs each giclée print.  Print artworks are printed on archival 310gsm cotton rag paper that possesses the unique texture and warm white tone of traditional watercolour paper.  UV resistant Epson UltraChrome® HD pigment inks are used to print your artwork enabling outstanding detail and precision colour that ensures your print is exactly like the original.  A State of Eden wall print is a piece that will be treasured forever.

Watermark will not be printed on your artwork.  The Wombat print artwork is available in A4, A3 and A2 sizes.  Custom framed print artworks are available to Australian customers.  Frame finish options are Tasmanian Oak, White and Black (as pictured in product gallery).

Framing

Framed Prints

State of Eden provides professional, custom framed prints to customers within Australia.  At this time, framed artworks are unable to be shipped internationally.  Frames are available in White, Black and Tasmanian Oak and the frame moulding for all sizes is a classic 20mm (face) x 35 – 40mm (side depth). An A3 print size is pictured for your reference in each of the frame colours.  Artworks are mounted with a mat board to set your print within the frame.  State of Eden’s custom made frames use plexiglass as this is a safer alternative to glass and also provides the artwork with better UV protection.

Unframed Prints

If the budget does not stretch to custom framing or you are based internationally self framing can be easy. Ready made frames to international paper sizes are available throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. For North America and Canada mat boards can be cut to the print size by your local framer and mounted in a ready made frame size of your choosing.  A4 and A3 print sizes will fit in Ikea frames sold in Australia, Asia and Europe (30x40cm frame, mat opening 20x29cm and 40x50cm frame, mat opening 29x39cm).  A3 print size will work with Ikea frames for North America and Canada (mat opening 11 1/2” x 15 1/4”).

Care instructions

• Keep artwork in its sleeve with backing board or rolled in mailing tube until artwork can be framed.
• Use care when handling the artwork as archival paper can be susceptible to marks if mishandled.
• Be sure all framing materials that come in contact with your artwork are acid free.
• If self framing, please use backing board or acid free paper behind your print as a protective barrier.
• Do not hang artworks in direct sunlight. 

Shipping

The safe arrival of your print is our top priority.  All unframed printed artworks are enclosed in an archival quality resealable cello bag for protection.  Unframed mini, A4 and A3 prints are sent in flat rigid mailers with a backing board for stability.   Unframed A2 and larger prints are sent rolled in thick poster tubes and supported with packing material.   Care instructions are included with your artwork.  All framed artworks are packaged and sent with the utmost care taken.

State of Eden provides FREE SHIPPING within Australia for unframed  and framed prints. .

For international orders a flat shipping rate of AU$15 applies to all mini print, A4 and A3 print sizes (unframed) and a flat shipping rate of AU$25 applies to all A2 and larger print sizes (unframed).  Framed prints are unable to be shipped internationally.

Please allow 2-3 days for unframed print artworks and 2-3 weeks for framed print artworks to be shipped.  All artwork prints, framed and unframed, will be sent with item tracking.  Signature upon delivery will be required for all print purchases.  If you require an order urgently, please add a note with your purchase and we will work with you to get your order to you asap (please note some additional charges may apply for express postage if required).
